Aloha, all!
Here we are with another Stampin' Up! Only Challenge, and it's one of my favorites! The theme this time is "Black and White, With a Pop of Color." It's hard to resist using the new Stampin' Up! Pop of Pink Suite of products, but I did. Instead I pulled out a stamp set I'd bought over a year ago just so I could stamp one of the images in a black and white setting.
The stamp set, of course is the Remarkable You Stamp Set, and the flower is the gorgeous Calla Lily. I just love a white Calla Lily with its spadix of yellow flowers peeking out from the center. So what better flower to use for this kind of a challenge than the Calla Lily from this stamp set.
Even though the challenge is Black and White, I made this card with Very Vanilla Cardstock as I wanted to use one of the sheets from the Playful Pallette Designer Series Paper Stack, and the "white" in this stack is Very Vanilla.
My "Pop of Color" is Daffodil Delight, both Ink (for the Spadices) and just a hint of a layer of Daffodil Delight cardstock behind the stamped image.
For the final touch for this card, I tied a bow made with Very Vanilla 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the stamped/Daffodil Delight layer. Then I adhered this to the rest of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to gift these layers a bit of a pop up from the card base.
This was definitely fun, and I hope you'll try some of the fun yourself by joining in the SUO Challenge this time!
