Aloha, all!
If you've been keeping up with my blog the last month or so, you know that, not only is this my favorite Halloween Stamp Set, it's also my only Halloween Stamp Set! Of course, it's Halloween Hoot, and you last saw these little critters on my Halloween House.
For this card, I really wanted to show off the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Sizzix Spider Web Embossing Folder. It's a hoot, too! There is nothing more to this than sandwiching up the card stock with the embossing folder and the multipurpose platform and running it through the Sizzix Big Shot. But a card would have been pretty boring if all it had was texture (my newest favorite embellishment!). So I plopped these little guys down in the corner with their signs. I stamped the frog and owl on the Very Vanilla Card Stock, along with their signs. Then I stamped the signs again separately, cut them out and sponged them a bit, and adhered them on top of the sticks. Simple technique. I love it when there's something showing outside one of our typically square or rectangle elements!
I hope you'll try making texture the main part of a card with just a bit of stamped element to show it off! If you do and you'd like to share it with my blog readers, just send me an e-mail and I'll post it here!
