Another Card With Balloon Adventures!

February 8, 2017 by Robin

Aloha, all!

I just could not put that Balloon Adventures Bundle away after I used it for Monday's project. I had found it SOOO easy to use to make that fun card that I decided I'd use it in my card-making class this week. When I showed my crafters the card, especially when I opened it up, I could almost see dismay in their faces. Wow, what's it going to take to make THIS card! When I told them it would be so simple, they did not believe me. When we were finished, they were all believers!

I really have nothing to add in the way of hints on making this card. I'm pretty sure I covered everything in Monday's post. What I found to be a lot of fun with this card was the Party Animal Designer Series Paper that I chose for the class project. I chose the Emerald Envy Cardstock, Ink, and 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon as my base color for the card as a whole. That had to do mostly with the availability of that lovely Taffeta Ribbon that's on the same page in the Stampin' Up! 2017 Occasions Catalog as the whole Party Animal Suite of products. It really accents the cover of the card nicely.

This time, both I and those in my class remembered not to fold the center Whisper White cardstock until after we stamped the banner and sentiment at the bottom of the center section. So it came out a lot better than when I tried to do it after everything had been folded and creased. If you want to stamp an image on the center balloon, you should do that before folding/creasing, too.

So now off to get the last of my Valentine Cards done! I have to get mine in the mail no later than Thursday morning if they're going to get anywhere but Hawaii by the 14th!
