Aloha, all!
You might remember that, while I was traveling, I found a card design with a Chevron Pieced pattern that I recreated using Stampin' Up! products. At the time I only had the Patterns Paper Stack with which to work, and so that's what I used.
Now that I'm back at home, I have all of my fun Stampin' Up! papers at my disposal, and I've made another card with newer papers. AND I've written a tutorial showing how I put the card together.
If you follow Stampin' Up!'s catalogs, I'm sure you'll recognize these papers as part of the Stampin' Up! 2012 Holiday Catalog set, Candlelight Christmas Special Designer Series Paper. I used two sheets from this set: The one with the printed Real Red Design AND the reverse of that paper; the other with the lighter, lacier Lucky Limeade Design. I also used one of the Flourish Designer Frames from the Holiday Catalog, though I attached it to the card this time with the standard sized Real Red Brads. The standard sized brads work fine with this frame, so you can coordinate your framed images with just about any set of papers!
I've written a tutorial for making this design. It works well with so many of Stampin' Up!'s papers. I'm hoping that I'll have time to make yet another card before long. But first I have to complete the project that I'll be including in this week's Newsletter from Robin's Craft Room. If you'd like to be on my mailing list, just sign up at the left of this post, up a little bit!
I have been having a lot of fun turning out LOTS of Christmas Cards these past few weeks since I've been home. I hope you're making enough time in your holiday season to stay creative, too!
Oh, and if you'd like to see the other card that I made and posted awhile back, you can check it out here!
Hi Robin, Just wanted to pop in and say thanks so much for the tutorial in your newsletter! What a great project! I'll be making some of these today! Thanks again!
