Aloha, all!
I’m still working on showing off the dozens of cards sent to me by fellow demonstrators, but today I’m pausing to show off a gift from my friend, Deb Hoekstra, which is perfect for me as I look through all those wonderful cards.
It’s a set of cards showing off all the colors in the newly-revamped Stampin’ Up! Color families. I had mentioned in a previous post that I wasn’t sure of some of the colors in some of the cards. While what’s in the catalog is pretty, the colors are not really true to the actual color of the cardstock. But the colors on these cards are made up of real cardstock so it’s easy for me to be able to tell you about the colors in cards going forward.
Funny story to go with this. The very next card on which I worked had a color about which I was not sure. So out came Deb’s gift. But I couldn’t find the color. Huh? So I put the card aside for a bit, and came back to it later that day. Of course it was one of the recently-retired colors, and I’d been so intent on matching it that I hadn’t recognized it.
I have GOT to get back to my own stamping. Meanwhile, thanks, Deb!
