Aloha, all!
I’m not sure I’ve mentioned this much, but I’m actively putting together a new eBook with greeting card patterns. I’m aiming for a July 1, 2019, publication date, and that’s not all that far away. So I’ve been scrambling recently to make cards in all the designs I’m going to include in the eBook. Today I’m going to share one with you as I’ve finally got all the measurements and instructions ready to put into the book.
The main reason I’m sharing this with you today is that the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper that I used for this card is going to be retiring in just one week! June 3, 2019, is the last day that this paper will be available for you to purchase. Actually, that’s not a given if all of Stampin’ Up!’s current supply is sold out by then. So far so good, though.
This is one of several “Pocket Cards” that I’ll be featuring in one chapter of my eBook. (Another one that will be in the book is one I discussed last week here.) They’re “pocket” cards because the card itself serves as a pocket for the piece on which you can write a note to the recipient. The insert is 3-1/2″ wide by 4-1/2″ high, and you can write not only on the front (under the stamped images on the top) but also all the way down the back. If you’re sending a paper gift with your card, you can stealthily hide it behind your note!
Nothing else in this card is retiring. The Rooted In Nature Stamp Set as well as the Nature’s Twine Set will both be in the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Catalog, along with the Blackberry Bliss and Grapefruit Grove Cardstock and Ink.
I’m really happy how this project turned out. I made quite a few “trial and error” cards with what I was sure were the right measurements for this card. But as good as I am at math (I am) I still managed to get tripped up by those diagonals. It’s all correct and ready for publication now, though.
The products I used for this card are shown below. That Designer Series Paper set is a keeper (I’m keeping what I have left), so don’t let it pass you by! While the Rooted in Nature Stamp Set is likely still available in “clear mount” rubber, after 6/3 it will be available in the new Cling version of Stampin’ Up!’s rubber stamps.
Happy stamping!

That’s a great design, Robin! An ebook!!! Wow! Just can’t wait to get my hands on that!
