Aloha, all!
I is going to be another two months before we can move into our new home – an apartment in a building on Hilo Bay. But my husband and I have been traveling back and forth to the building as we plan our renovations and how we’ll be organizing it. A few weeks ago, Harry volunteered us to provide some of our art work to display at the entrance to the building. I’m sure you can imagine how excited I was to be able to show off some of my Stampin’ Up! cards in such a display!
I’m sure you’ll recognize many of these cards as I’ve included them in blog posts over the past year. I’m really fortunate that I’d made it a point of organizing all my finished greeting cards so that they were all in one basket when I had to evacuate my home when the lava came in May. I’m also so happy to have these when I need to send someone a card as I still don’t have much room for creating.
Here is the entire display at the front of our building. Everyone who comes in the front door will see it. I’ve even been asked if I’d plan to conduct a workshop or two once I move in! I’m excited about doing that for sure!
Besides my display (on the left), there are four canvas prints (towards the middle right) of photos of palm inflorescences taken by Harry the year before our home and garden were destroyed. Having all the photos of our garden is yet another piece of the good fortune that has followed us as we recover from our loss.
I’m so looking forward to moving to our new home, small or not!
