Aloha, all!
Today’s post is the first of many in which I will be sharing photos of cards that my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends have sent to me and my husband with messages of hope, love, and faith in our ability to recover from the disaster that lava created in our community in Leilani Estates, Hawaii. The first card came from Terri Tank, who lives nearly 5,000 miles away from us, but with whom I connect regularly through a group called VC Rocks (Click here for more information about that group).
For her card, Terri made a fun-fold card that features a Stamp Set that will no longer be available from Stampin’ Up! after today!
The stamp set is Garden in Bloom, and it’s one of my favorites. I had been trying to decide whether to keep this set after it retires because it helped me make some great cards. But Madame Pele, the lava that destroyed our home, took all my retired stamp sets away from me, so that is a choice that I no longer have to consider. Update! I had a call from fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Sandy Hill, who offered to send me a brand new copy of this stamp set – and of course, I accepted. I’m so happy to have it (just have to find a place to put it).
Garden in Bloom is a beautiful stamp set, and this special card shows it off to perfection.
I think Terri did an amazing job with it. Thanks, Rachel.
Robin, so sorry for Your loss. I followed this on the news as I’m sure many did!! This seems more devastating than anything I have ever seen! I am happy You and Your Family are all safe, that’s something You can’t replace!!
