A Fun CASE

May 4, 2011 by Robin

Aloha, all!

While I usually have fun making my cards, I have to tell you that I just had the MOST fun making this one!

When I saw this Vera Bradley® bag at a shop in Pennsylvania when I was there in March, I thought I saw LOTS of Stampin' Up! colors and designs.  When I finally got around to looking at it more closely, I found that there was even one more new product that I could use to copy this design for a greeting card – the brand new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch!  It completes this design just beautifully.

Once I got this card done, I realized that there were just too many products to talk about all in one blog post!  So I decided to make this a subject of discussion – and just a little piece of blog candy.  I will send this very card (carefully packaged with an envelope) to the first person who correctly guesses the number of products in this card.  For this challenge, you have to include the number of different colors of card stock in the total, but you do not have to include any adhesives or my paper cutter. (I used SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots and Stampin' Dimensionals to put this card together, and my Stampin' Up! Table Top Cutter to get the rectangles all cut out.)

Deadline for blog comments to get the card is Friday, May 6th, at noon Pacific time.  I'll post the winner's name and a list of the products later on Friday.

Even if you don't care to participate in this challenge, I hope you'll take the time to look around you and ask yourself if you don't see some Stampin' Up! products just sitting there calling out to you from some fabric or art work in your home, "Copy me!!"  I guarantee you'll have a lot of fun with it!

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…

Great card! Isn't it amazing where we can get ideas from?!?  Did you go to her very first outlet… where she got her start?!?  I went there two years ago… actually it was three… and spent way more than I should have!
I'm guessing that you used 20 Stampin' Up! products to create the card!!!
    Happy Stamping! Maria

    Hi Robin,
What a beautiful card and a cute idea!  I think you used 17 different products (unless the brads count as 2, then it would be 18).
Big Shot, Fun Flower Die, Baskets & Blooms Die, Swirly Decorative Die Strip, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Triple Layer Punch – Blossom Bouquet, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Teeny Tiny Wishes and 7 different colors of card stock: Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Peach Parfait, Pretty in Pink, Poppy Parade, More Mustard, Sahara Sand (or it could have been River Rock  behind the lower flower) and two (2) brads.
Beautiful!  And thanks for the fun!

Oh darn, I forgot the Stampin' Up ink pad for the sentiment!  Looks like it is Early Espresso, so that would be 18 (or 19 if you count the brads as 2 items.

Robyn also used the modern label punch  and maybe the single die and possibly the owl punch with the circles from the eyes.  So I am guessing the count is more likely 21 products.

    My guess is 19.
Your card is a perfect match for the VB pattern!  I love it!

I believe she might have used the modern label punch and single die as well as the the owl punch for the circles around brads and paper snips.  so more likely about 21 or 22 different SU products

I think you used the exact number of SU products to make the perfect "Vera Wang" card.  Lazy of me!  Hee hee!

I think you used 19 different SU products but since someone already guessed that number I'll guess 23 just incase I missed something 🙂  I was sure that someone might miss the little whisper white behind the brad, I almost forgot to count the stamp and ink.  This was fun !!!  Love the card !!!
