A Calypso Coral CASE!

Aloha, all!

     Here it is Tuesday and I'm just getting around to my first challenge of the week.  But what a fun challenge it was – not just for the design, but for the color I used!

     The design is definitely fun, and is one that I noticed when I was looking through the latest issue of Stampin' Up!'s Demonstrator Magazine, Stampin' Success.  The article that features the design is about Canadian Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Tamara Bertram, and I love how she used the stamp set, By the Tide.  I hadn't used my copy of the stamp set yet, so I was glad to have the opportunity!

     What's more fun for me is the color!  I just found out some sneak peek news that the 2011-2013 In Color Calypso Coral is NOT going to retire.  Stampin' Up! gave us a hint that we'd find out more about this next month.  But I am SOOO excited that it's not going away that I just had to celebrate by using it!

     To make this card, I simply folded an 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Whisper White Card stock into a 5-1/2" wide x 4-1/4" high card.  I stamped one of the images from By the Tide lightly off to the right and towards the bottom and then stamped the "Thank You" image from the stamp set, Curly Cute, over to the left.  Then I stamped three other images from By the Tide and punched them with the 1-1/4" Square Punch, matting each with Calypso Coral Card Stock punched with the 1-3/8" Square Punch.  I mounted the three punched groups on the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Fun card to make, Tamara!

     I know I haven't been doing much in the way of "sales" work over the last few months as I've been recovering.  But I'm really excited about a new product that's going to be offered beginning this Saturday – that will include not only Calypso Coral but also Pool Party as another continuing color.  So beginning on Saturday, I'm going to start being much better about letting you know what's going on Stampin' Up!-wise.

     For the rest of the week, I'm going to continue to have some fun with my stamping and I hope you'll be enjoying your stamping "toys" too!
