Aloha, all!
I got so busy this week that I forgot the birthday of my friend, Lucy. I was going to make a card with the new Stampin’ Up! Pop Up Cake Sizzix Die. But this morning I happened upon an e-mail that showed off a card made using what is called a "Tri-Shutter" fold. I just had to go make one right away, and there was the note to make Lucy’s card on my craft room table. So the Pop Up Cake blog entry will have to wait for another day (not too long, though!).
I read an e-mail yesterday morning from fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Sharon Field, who had a picture of this card on her blog and a link to instructions. While I went ahead and made the card according to instructions, they were all in centimeters, and I’m an "inch" person. So I quickly adjusted the measurements for my non-metric brain to better comprehend. You can find the U.S. measurements and instructions for making this card right here!
For this card, I used Baja Breeze Textured Card Stock, with a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Simply Scrappin’ Kit, Sunshine Garden. I embellished two of the panels with butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Exclusive Sizzix Die, Beautiful Butterflies, and some matching mini-brads.
If you have any questions about this card, or you’d like to buy the materials to make it, just call (808.854.6145) or e-mail me!
Thank you so much for posting the how-to on this card! I can’t wait to make one.
OMG! Robin this is beautiful! TFS the instructions…I saw the cm ones too and went Ok, I’ll get back to that later! ; ) You beat me to it! Bless you! Oh, and Happy Anniversary!
