Aloha, all!
Well, not much here in Hawai’i! But there are snowflakes all over Robin’s Craft Room today! Here’s just a small sample.
And guess what?! They don’t melt!
The Green and Red snowflakes were made with the die-cut chipboard and Designer Series Paper featured in the Country Living Holiday Collection Stampin’ Kit, currently on sale through Stampin’ Up! (Item #114447 if you’re ordering online).
I made the white snowflakes using Sizzix Dies, the large one with the Snowflake #2 die (113460) and the four smaller ones with the Sizzlits Snowflakes Set #2 (113449). Yes, you get FOUR snowflakes in that set!
Last week I featured a video on how to put together the Holiday Collection Stampin Kit snowflakes. I’ve been asked why I use the Everywhere Glue Stick rather than Tombow Adhesive. I find that, with all the little pieces sticking out all over the place, adhesive is definitely going to end up on my hands. (You, of course, may be a lot neater than the inhabitant of Robin’s Craft Room; but she tends to be a bit on the childish side when she’s working with paper and glue!)
In any case, I find it much easier to wipe the glue from the glue stick off my hands right then and there. When I manage to get Tombow adhesive on my fingers, I have to go find a sink and soap and water. I’d rather spend time in the Craft Room!
Later on this week, I’m going to demonstrate some more of the snowflakes that I’ve made with the Sizzix, and show how I’ve used them in projects for my upcoming Stamp Club meeting!
‘Til then–Stay Warm!!!
