It’s November!! Holiday Crafting is Upon Us!!!

November 1, 2008 by Robin

I love October and fall themes for crafting.  But when I turn the calendar to November, I really start to get excited about my Holiday crafting!  Stampin’ Up! is making this so much easier this year with its wonderful Holiday Mini-Catalog.  My absolute favorite is the collection of great holiday papers.  Not only that, this year Stampin’ Up! has included some papers with pieces for making simple ornaments already die cut!!  The two ornaments at the top of this picture I made using the Star Bright Kit (113681).  The kit comes with the papers (die cut–just punch them out!), some Styled Silver Brads, and the silver elastic cord for hanging.  I added a Designer Brad from the Filigree Assortment (112577) to the top of the Paper Strip Globes for just a little bit of extra bling.  Then I started getting into making more with my other papers– I used papers from the Holiday Treasures set (112469) to make the bottom ornament.  I even used used some of my Sizzix Big Shot dies to make more of the paper circle globes using other Stampin’ Up! holiday papers.  I now have a whole display "tree" full of Stampin’ Up! ornaments!  I’ll be posting more later in the season.

There are even more ornaments using these same delicious holiday papers in the special "Holiday Collection Stampin’ Kit" (114447) that is being offered beginning today in conjunction with the Stampin’ Up! feature in this year’s holiday issue of Country Living Magazine.  I’ll be making up some of those ornaments early in the week and will post pix of those then!  Meanwhile, if you’d like some more information about this beautiful kit, click on the "Stampin’ Up in Country Living!" link to the right.  Or e-mail or call me (808.854.6145), and I’ll be happy to send you a sample ornament from the kit!

Happy Holiday Crafting!!!

Robin Messenheimer

I have been stamping and paper crafting for over 30 years, and have been an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 14 years.

My favorite part of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is teaching others to enjoy crafting themselves. Not only do I conduct classes in person, I write tutorials for teaching anyone who has internet access. No matter if you're in my area in The Villages in Florida or anywhere else in the world, let me know if there's something you'd like to learn! Read More…
