Snowflakes Everywhere!
Aloha, all!
Well, not much here in Hawai’i! But there are snowflakes all over Robin’s Craft Room today! Here’s just a small sample.
And guess what?! They don’t melt!
The Green and Red snowflakes were made with the die-cut chipboard and Designer Series Paper featured in the Country Living Holiday Collection Stampin’ Kit, currently on sale through Stampin’ Up! (Item #114447 if you’re ordering online).
I made the white snowflakes using Sizzix Dies, the large one with the Snowflake #2 die (113460) and the four smaller ones with the Sizzlits Snowflakes Set #2 (113449). Yes, you get FOUR snowflakes in that set!
Last week I featured a video on how to put together the Holiday Collection Stampin Kit snowflakes. I’ve been asked why I use the Everywhere Glue Stick rather than Tombow Adhesive. I find that, with all the little pieces sticking out all over the place, adhesive is definitely going to end up on my hands. (You, of course, may be a lot neater than the inhabitant of Robin’s Craft Room; but she tends to be a bit on the childish side when she’s working with paper and glue!)
In any case, I find it much easier to wipe the glue from the glue stick off my hands right then and there. When I manage to get Tombow adhesive on my fingers, I have to go find a sink and soap and water. I’d rather spend time in the Craft Room!
Later on this week, I’m going to demonstrate some more of the snowflakes that I’ve made with the Sizzix, and show how I’ve used them in projects for my upcoming Stamp Club meeting!
‘Til then–Stay Warm!!!
Country Living Holidays Issue
Aloha, all!
I finally have my hands on my new issue of Country Living Magazine! Finally I get to see all the wonderful projects that Stampin’ Up! is showing off in this super issue!
The first thing that I noticed was that I couldn’t FIND the Stampin’ Up! article! In a "duh!" moment, I read the note that I should turn the magazine over and upside down and look at the BACK COVER for the Special Holidays section.
The Stampin’ Up! Holiday Collection is featured from Pages 7A through 15A. You, too, can make all the wonderful projects shown by ordering the Holiday Collection Stampin’ Kit, right now–whenever you’re reading this!–by going to my Stampin’ Up! website and ordering product #114447.
Ordering this kit by November 30th qualifies you for my November Special–a mini-folded album and a set of instructions for making the album – a $15 value gift for FREE! This is a great Holiday gift for family and friends, especially if you include photos of the gift recipient!
Besides the great Country Living promotion kit, Stampin’ Up! also has other ornament kits for sale this holiday season, and I’ve been enjoying making them. Check in tomorrow for news about a class special that I’m featuring in December!
‘Til then–be sure to call (808.854.6145) or e-mail me if you have any questions or would like me to order something for you!
How to Make That Ornament!
Aloha, all!
The past two days I’ve shared with you one of the ornaments that I made using some of the elements in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Collection Stampin’ Kit (114447). This kit includes the ornaments and other decorations in this month’s issue of Country Living Magazine. The kit is a GREAT bargain, and includes just about everything that you’ll need to make DOZENS of ornaments, gifts, and holiday decorations. Plus, you’ll have a stamp set that you will be able to use for years to come in you holiday decorating and card and gift making!
Today I’m sharing with you a video showing how I put the ornament together. I hope you enjoy it. Let me know if you’d like to order the Holiday Collection Stampin’ Kit–or order it yourself any time, 24/7, on my website!
I’m especially excited that I have this 2008 ornament done as, next week, my grandson will be in town, and we’ll be decorating our Christmas trees (note the plural!). I can hardly wait to share our unique Hawaii Christmas trees–and, of course, more Stampin’ Up! ornaments!
