Happy Independence Day!

Aloha, all!

It's the 4th of July and here in the United States it's the celebration of our independence as a free nation.  There will be barbecues, parades and fireworks this evening in towns and cities all over the country – even out here in the middle of the Pacific Ocean!

I don't usually make cards for the 4th of July, but this year I've been working on trying to duplicate some of the projects in the Stampin' Up! 2014-2015 Catalog and I came across a star card on page 135.

Page135

The colors in the Catalog are lovely, but Red, White and Blue seemed to be a perfect choice for copying the card!  It's such fun to make!

I've written a tutorial for making this card and I included it in this month's Robin's Craft Room Newsletter.  It's free to all my newsletter subscribers.  If you'd like to have it all you have to do is sign up to receive my newsletter.  Just complete the form up to the left and I'll get a copy of the newsletter off to you, along with another tutorial to welcome you to my mailing list.

Have a fun and safe 4th of July!

I tried making this after seeing your post. It is quite easily made .I did reinforce the area with a small strip where the the stars are connected as it was quite flimsy.

This is so unusual, I love it….. It's making me want to buy those star dies which I have been so set against.
