Further Felt Flurry Fun!

Like yesterday’s Christmas Card, today’s uses the Little Felt Flurries from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Mini Catalog.  Today, though, I really added the embellishments big time!

For starters, I used the lovely background paper from the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper pack, accented with some Riding Hood Red card stock.  On top of that, I layered some Baja Breeze 1" Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (111847) and Riding Hood Red 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon (111374).

The large medallion features several layers:

First, there is a layer made with the Sizzix Bigz Die, Scallop Circle #2 (113469), made with chipboard and Riding Hood Red card stock.  I accented the scallops with a bit of Tombow Glue and Dazzling Diamonds (I am so not a glitter person–but Dazzling Diamonds has been my downfall!!!).

The next layer is not one but TWO Little Felt Flurries, again accented with the Dazzling Diamonds.  Finally, there is a Riding Hood Red button from the Designer Buttons pack (112092), tied with a bit of Silver Elastic Cord (109866).

The final accent is a tag made with both the Tag Punch (105934) and Small Tag Punch (108264), with the small tag stamped with a greeting from the Level 1 Hostess Set, Best Yet, in Riding Hood Red ink.

What a CARD!!!!  Once I finished this card, I wished I’d made an ornament out of the embellishments.  Hmmm.  I think I see a theme for next week’s blog entries!!!
