For the next week, I'm going to post some quick projects I made with the Make a Medallion Stamp Set that you can get FOR FREE during Stampin' Up!'s annual Sale-a-bration campaign. You may remember that I mentioned last Saturday that I wanted to try 3-color combinations with the Medallion stamps. Well, I got carried away. I ended up with four different cards – same design but different colors. I really was going to post them all in one blog post. But just looking at them all together on my work table, I just could not focus on the colors in any one card because there was just too much lying there in the way of color!
One of my goals in making these cards was to use colors I haven't used much in a while. For today's card, that color was Rich Razzleberry. For the other two colors to go with the Razzleberry, I chose Calypso Coral and Mint Macaron. Both of those colors are standards in my Craft Room, especially Mint Macaron which I've been using a lot lately as it will be retired as a Stampin' Up! In Color as of June. Now, that's not been announced by Stampin' Up!, and there have been many cases of In Colors becoming a part of the 40 basic Stampin' Up! colors. Crossing my fingers for this one!
I'll basically repeat this paragraph for each of the next three projects, just with different colors. Yes, they're that much alike! The Designer Series Paper layer is Calypso Coral from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. I cut the circles for both the Medallion and its mat using the Layering Circles Framelits set. For the small banner behind the circle layers, I cut a piece of Mint Macaron Cardstock using a framelit from the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits set. I adhered the banner using SNAIL Adhesive and the circle layers using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set. There are several sentiments in that set that will fit nicely into the center of the medallion – I just happen to have a slew of birthday cards I have to send out in the next month. And now I have them!
Here are the products I featured in today's post (not including ink and cardstock). You might notice that, if you buy that Layering Circles Framelits set and the BIG Designer Series Paper Stack, you can choose to get the Make a Medallion set FOR FREE! Just go to my Stampin' Up! store to find out more about any of these products, and even buy them right then and there!
