A Reward for Spring Cleaning!
Aloha, all!
After a flurry of activity getting some Easter Cards done last weekend, I have been out of commission and out of Robin's Craft Room for the rest of the week. It all started when I decided to set up a wireless network in our home so I could use My Digital Studio on my laptop in the craft room. I had to pull my office desk out from its well-entrenched spot in the office that my husband and I share, and what a disaster! Oh, my – all the piles of stuff that were here and there and everywhere! So, after a day getting the network set up, there ensued three and a half days of getting that rat's nest of a desk all cleaned out. The other day and a half were spent volunteering with my Family and Community Education (FCE) club for a benefit garage sale. That dovetailed nicely with my getting rid of copies of old software that I no longer use.
And now that I've been so productive and have kept my nose to the spring cleaning grindstone, here I am late on a Saturday afternoon rewarding myself by having a blast using my newly-unpacked brand new Stampin' Up! products!

You won't recognize some of what's on this card because the stamp set and the embossing folder are going to be in the Stampin' Up! 2011 Summer Mini Catalog! The Stamp Set is Fabulous Florets, and I've used 4 of the 6 stamps in the set on this card: the two flowers, the leaf and the saying from e. e. cummings. This is just a gorgeous stamp set, and I love being able to use various ways of coloring in these line art stamps. For this card, I used Sponge Daubers to fill in the Night of Navy and Melon Mambo Flowers and the Old Olive Leaves. The other new product on this card is the brand new Flower Garden Textured Embossing Folder. What a treat to have a stamp set and embossing folder matching like these do! And there will be even more treats later this week as I show off the Designer Series Paper that goes with them, too!
Today's card is based on a sketch by the Stampin' Up! Demonstrators over at the Stamping 411 Website. I hope you'll take the opportunity to go there to get the layout that they've provided. I promise that I'll have more cards this week where I provide the layouts right here.
And whether you use this layout or any other, think flowers because this is Spring, after all! And grab some flower stamps and have some fun with them this weekend!
