Aloha, all!
As you might have guessed, I had a bit of a relapse in my illness. But I seem to be on the mend again, so here I am participating in one of my least favorite of challenges, a color challenge!
But, amazingly, I really liked this challenge. For one thing, it brings to a close the first full week of the Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition– and it has been so much fun. I've just loved the projects! But I digress. Here is the color challenge:
You might well ask where they came up with this? Well, in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog – the new Designer Series Paper, More Amore Specialty includes these very colors! Now, there's no requirement that we use this paper. But what's not to like about paper that includes all the colors in a color challenge! So I used three sheets from the set.
The sheets include the two prints AND the Primrose Petals Heart that I cut from one of the "specialty" sheets. If you love making Valentines, you'll LOVE this set!
Other products from the Spring Catalog that I used for this card are one of the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folders (the scallop and straight stitch on the Real Red layer) and the new Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate (the scallops on the Pool Party layer). Both the Real Red and Pool Party layers are two of the new Core'dinations Card Stock in the Spring Catalog, and I sanded the areas raised by the Embossing Folder and the Borders Scoring Plate.
The remainder of the products used in this card are from other catalogs: The Pearls Basic Jewels, the Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon, and the Scallop Edge Border Punch are all from the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! Catalog. The stamp is from the set, Seasonal Sayings, which carried over from the Holiday Catalog. So glad I have it to use for this Valentine's Day!

And now for a plug for the Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition. There are five full weeks this time around devoted to products in the Stampin' Up! 2013 Spring Catalog, as well as products in the Stampin' Up! 2013 Sale-a-bration Catalog. No matter when you subscribe to this edition of Create with Connie and Mary, you have access to the entire edition. So if you put off signing up until you thought it was too late – it isn't! Just hop on over to their website and read all about it.
Oooh, and my very first project for this edition is coming up this week! So if you like my projects, don't miss out being one of the first to see it! I had a lot of fun designing it, and I'm sure you'll have fun with it, too!

Sorry to heaasr about your illness and relapse. It is a beautiful card you have such talent I wish I had half as much talent as you do. Thanks for a chance to win some blog cand I have never won any blog candy. We spent 4 1/2 joyous years in Hawaii in the late 80's. It brings back fond memories.
