Butterflies for Billie

Aloha, all!

Earlier in the week I shared a LARGE card I made for the going away dinner for my friend, Billie. Today’s card was the original card I’d made. But it turned out to be much too small for the occasion, even though it was 6" wide x 9" high.

The background paper for the card is a sheet from the new Designer Series Paper set, Cottage Wall. The band in the front is another sheet from the same set.

Both Butterflies are cut using the Sizzix Stampin Up! Exclusive Die, Beautiful Butterflies. Connecting the two Orchid Opulence Butterflies is a saying from the stamp set, "Flight of the Butterfly": "If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies." I thought that was appropriate for a going away card! It’s all tied up with some Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

Billie left our lovely island yesterday, bound for Arizona. I hope it’s not too very long before we get to meet again.
