Veterans Day, November 11, 2008

My late grandfather, William McDermott Smithhisler, served in
World War I.

My late father, Henry Smithhisler, served in World War II.

My husband, Harold Messenheimer, is a retired Coast Guard officer,
and served during the Vietnam War.

My humble civilian salute to all of them this Veterans Day 2008.
