Talking Turkey!

Published by Robin at 7:45 am under 3D Projects, Sizzix

It’s only a month until Thanksgiving Day!  It can’t be a real Thanksgiving Table at our house without something handmade (besides the dinner) on the table.  This is my first try at using two great lines of products from Stampin’ Up! to make our table decorations.

The napkin ring is made using Stampin’ Up! punches–the little feathers are made using the Scallop Circle Punch (109043), the feet with the Boho Blossoms Punch (110711).   Add some plain circle and square punches, and a bit of trimming, and Mr. Turkey came to life!

The real fun was using the Sizzix Scallop Die to make the fabric turkey feathers and feet for the placemat decoration.  I even was able to use the 1-3/4" Circle Punch (112004) to make the turkey’s body!

Once I return from North Carolina, I’m going to try to perfect the fabric turkey, and I’ll publish the recipe for you to use.

If you’d like to try the Sizzix out and you’re in East Hawaii, just give me a call and I’ll invite you over for a test drive!  854-6145.
